Vista Dvr Card
What is the best way to connect cable TV (through coaxial cable) to my PC so i can use my PC as a DVR?
Please be specific on which Video Card brands and software programs you used or recommend. I've seen some that supposedly allow you to use the digital tv guide on the pc so you could actually program with the cable companies like dvr. PC is running Vista Home Basic (If you only have XP solutions, please list those also) Cable provider is COX (midwest) Would like to be able to play / record HDTV as well. Thanks. I'm dying to free up the memory on my DVR by making DVD's of my favorite shows (Futurama, South Park, etc.).
What you want to use a tv tuner card is Which you can plug into your pci slot on your computer. Go to a computer store or online the simpler ones are about $ 20. Try newegg.com
