GPS devices have made a tremendous difference in the way we live and how we play.

GPS devices keep us from being lost in unfamiliar settings, they help us find a brand-new restaurant or shopping mall or simply to keep track of our pets and children. A simple handheld GPS device can be used by every single person for any number of reasons. Since the GPS system has a built-in mapping system, a person can know exactly where they are or how they can get to where they want to be. For example, you may want to visit a shopping mall to pick up some needed clothing while on a vacation. All you have to do is enter the location of the shopping mall, the location where you are starting from and then indicate whether you want the shortest route [Which may include a lot of traffic or heavy highway driving that you want to avoid] or you can ask for the easiest route. You can tell it to avoid toll roads or perhaps look for the most scenic route to add to your enjoyment. The device will then plot your route and even offer audible directions such as when to turn left or right onto various streets along the way.
