I'm looking for WiFi-based web use with handheld receiver Baby Monitor. Any recommendations?
I want to use WiFi-based camera as baby Video Monitor to eliminate interference and the ability to be able to view the house the other monitor. But I do not want to have to watch the web-based computer, I would like to hand monitor instead. Has anyone used something like this?

am writing a book, for that I need a lots of pictures. The subject of the book is such that many times I have to take picutures of events that happen without any notice.
So basically i am looking for a camera which has sufficient reolution (so that it can be published) at the same time it it portable enough that I can keep it with me anytime without a big bulky bag.
Out of curiosity are there any cellphones that have high resolutions like 2-3 megapixels for verizon?

Before you do anything, check with the publisher and see what their requirements are for submitted images. Some of my publishers require me to send them large TIFF files that I can only produce because I shoot RAW + basic JPEG on every shoot.
My thought is you will find they want much higher resolution images than ANY Cell Phone will produce and most compact digital cameras.

You could try Virtualdub (http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/). In Virtualdub's "File" menu, go down to "Capture AVI...". A new window should open. The menus should change. Go to the "Device" menu and you should be able to select your webcam. Then go to the "File" menu and select "set capture file...". Then go to the "Capture" menu and it should now let you capture video.
